Leupold unveils revolutionary RX-5000 laser rangefinder with innovative ‘pinning’ feature in collaboration with ONX hunt

Leupold & Stevens, Inc., the renowned provider of top-quality sport optics known for their durability, clarity, and lightweight design, is proud to introduce its latest breakthrough in hunting technology: the RX-5000 laser rangefinder.

The RX-5000 TBR/W sets a new standard for rangefinders with its remarkable 5,000-yard ranging distance and a host of cutting-edge features designed to enhance the hunting experience. What truly distinguishes it is its seamless integration with the Leupold Control app, allowing hunters to drop location pins directly to their smartphones using popular digital mapping platforms like onX Hunt.

Eric Overstreet, Technology Product Line Manager at Leupold & Stevens, Inc., emphasised the significance of this innovation, stating, “A rangefinder is an essential tool in the field, but the RX-5000 demonstrates its value beyond distance measurement. With the Pinning feature, hunters can mark targets on digital maps effortlessly, saving valuable time whether navigating the backcountry or tracking game.”

The Pinning feature is facilitated through the Leupold Control app, available for free download. This app enables users to drop pins on compatible mapping systems such as onX Hunt, Google Maps, and Apple Maps, and customise settings on the RX-5000 according to their preferences.

In addition to Pinning, the RX-5000 boasts Long Range mode, leveraging its advanced DNA engine to achieve astounding ranging capabilities of up to 5,000 yards on reflective targets and extending even further on non-reflective targets with the use of a tripod saddle and remote firing via the Leupold Control app.

Furthermore, the RX-5000 excels in adverse weather conditions with its Last Target mode, ensuring accurate ranging in snow, rain, and fog. Its high light transmission red OLED display delivers crisp images, while the 8x magnification makes ranging long distances effortless.

The rangefinder’s onboard True Ballistic Range/Wind (TBR/W) technology enhances precision by providing angle-compensated shoot-to distances and offers 25 selectable ballistics groups to accommodate various cartridges. Combined with the Custom Dial System (CDS), hunters can achieve unparalleled accuracy and streamline target acquisition.

“Leupold’s commitment to excellence is evident in every aspect of the RX-5000,” remarked Overstreet. “With its advanced features and rugged design, coupled with the Pinning capability and Leupold Control app, it represents the ultimate solution for backcountry hunters.”

Backed by Leupold’s Electronics Warranty, the waterproof and extreme-climate tested RX-5000 is built to withstand the toughest hunting conditions, ensuring reliability in any environment.

Established over a century ago in Oregon, Leupold & Stevens, Inc. remains a family-owned company dedicated to crafting premium riflescopes, spotting scopes, binoculars, rangefinders, and other optical equipment in the USA. With a legacy of innovation and quality craftsmanship, Leupold continues to redefine the standards of excellence in the industry.
