The legendary Solid Base bullet is made via the impact extrusion process where a solid copper slug is drawn out to form a thick, heavily tapered jacket. This precisely engineered jacket is then fit with a form-fitted lead-alloy core creating a bullet that expands upon impact, retains weight, and penetrates deep to kill deer quickly and consistently. The sleek profile and boat tail of the Solid Base also enhance accuracy and trajectory for an extra degree of confidence on longer shots.

The Nosler Straight-Wall bullet is designed to exhibit consistent, effective expansion at the slower impact velocities common to Straight-Wall cartridges. Utilising a flat base, thin jacket mouth, and lead nose, the Straight-Wall bullet reliably expands at ranges beyond which common bullets do not. The truncated nose profile ensures smooth feeding in all action types.
